IPTL: Aces edge past Slammers

Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna got past Bruno Soares and Daniela Hantuchova in the mixed doubles match as Indian Aces edged past Singapore Slammers in the UAE leg of the International Premier Tennis League here on Thursday.

Aces were given a hard time by the Singapore team, but won four of the five games to clinch the match 28-24 on the basis of more sets won.

Sania and Bopanna combined well to win a closely-contested battle against the Brazilian-Slovak pair of Soares and Hantuchova 6-5.
