Top seeds Dev Javia and Tanisha Kashyap in title round

Top seeds Dev Javia and Tanisha Kashyap made the singles final in the boys and girls sections respectively in the first leg of the HSBC Road to Wimbledon under-14 tennis tournament at the Indore Tennis Club on Friday.

Dev Javia, who won the doubles title with VM Sandeep, will be challenged by Jaishvin Singh Sidana. Tanisha Kashyap set up a title clash with her doubles partner Prerna Vichare with whom she clinched the doubles title, beating Sarah Dev and Sanya Singh 10-6 in the super tie-break.

The results:

Boys (semifnals): Dev Javia bt Ritik Rana 7-5, 6-4; Jaishvin Singh Sidana bt Adarsh Naga Tippabhatla 6-4, 6-2.

Quarterfinalls: Dev Javia bt Divesh Gahlot 7-5, 7-5; Ritik Rana bt VM Sandeep 6-3, 7-5; Jaishvin Singh Sidana bt B. Sakthivel 4-6, 6-3,

7-6(3); Adarsh Naga Tippabhatla bt Krishan Hooda 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Doubles (final): Dev Javia & VM Sandeep bt Divesh Gahlot and Aaryan Mehul Zaveri 7-6(2), 6-1.

Girls (semifinals): Tanisha Kashyap bt Shreya Gulia 6-2, 6-4; Prerna Vichare bt Sharannya Gaware 6-3, 6-3.

Quarterfinals: Tanisha Kashyap bt Sarah Dev 6-4, 6-3; Shreya Gulia bt Kiran Kalkal 6-2, 6-4; Prerna Vichare bt Sudipta Senthil Kumar 6-0,

6-0; Sharannya Gaware bt Sanya Singh 6-2, 6-2.

Doubles (final): Tanisha Kashyap & Prerna Vichare bt Sarah Dev & Sanya Singh 1-6, 6-4, 10-6.
