Seven-time Grand Slam champion Justine Henin has beaten Latvia’s Anastasija Sevastova in straight sets in the first round at Wimbledon.

Former No.1 Henin had no problems against the No. 56-ranked Sevastova, winning 6-4, 6-3 in nearly one hour.

The Belgian player, who came out of retirement at the start of the year, did not give her opponent any opportunities to break.

Wimbledon is the only major to elude Henin, who is aiming to become just the 10th woman to have won each Grand Slam title at least once.

Her next opponent is Germany’s Kristina Barrois, who defeated Ukraine’s Mariya Koryttseva 6-3, 6-4.
