Fabio Fognini, partnering Leander Paes, has pulled out of the doubles event of the Aircel Chennai Open on Tuesday, citing a left leg strain.
A release said, “(It) is being treated and monitored closely by the ATP physio for further evaluation. The alternates (for the Indian-Italian pair) will be announced shortly.”
The 26-year-old Italian will, however, compete in singles.
The Fognini-Paes duo is seeded two in the championship.
