Second-seeded Somdev Devvarman beat unseeded Alexander Kudryavtsev of Russia with a 6-3, 6-3 win in the second round of State Bank of India ATP Challenger event here on Wednesday.

Devvarman found himself to be the lone Indian in the quarterfinals as Yuki Bhambri succumbed 6-3, 6-4 to the third-seeded Evgeny Donskoy.

Devvarman got the crucial break in the fourth game as the Russian served a double-fault.

The second set saw Devvarman breaking in the third and ninth games to close it out.
