Davis Cup: Paes-Bhupathi win doubles, keep India alive

Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi kept India alive in their Davis Cup World Group first round tie against Russia with an easy straight sets win over Teimuraz Gabashvili and Igor Kunitsyn in the doubles match here Saturday.

Paes and Bhupathi won 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in nearly an hour-and-a-half.

India now trails 1-2 in the tie after losing both their singles Friday. India's No.1 Somdev Devvarman will now play Russia's top ranked player Mikhail Youzhny in the first reverse singles Sunday and Rohan Bopanna takes on Kunitsyn in the second.
