Kim Clijsters beat Alize Cornet of France 7-6 (3), 6-3 to advance to the fourth round of the Australian Open, but didn’t dominate like she had in the previous two rounds.

The U.S. Open champion had dropped only four games in two straight set wins this week. On Saturday, she had her service broken twice in the first set - each time failing to consolidate her own breaks on Cornet’s serve.

In the second set, the third-seeded Clijsters did similar, taking a 3-1 lead before failing to hold her own serve in the next game. But this time, Clijsters held her lead, despite needing three match points over two games to advance.
