Champions Tennis League: It will be ‘Bangalore Raptors’

Bangalore franchise of the Champions Tennis League will be called ‘Bangalore Raptors’, it was announced here on Tuesday.

The team, owned by Mittu Chandilya, the Air Asia CEO, has Venus Williams, Feliciano Lopez, Thomas Enqvist and Ramkumar Ramanathan on its roster. The name was “crowd-sourced from online and offline platforms,” a press release said.

The Champions Tennis League, promoted by Vijay Amritraj, will commence on November 15. Bangalore Raptors will play matches on November 17, 20, 21 and 24.
