The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is aiming to give a verdict in Serbian tennis player Victor Troicki’s doping rules case “in around four months.”
CAS said Troicki has not asked for his 18-month ban to be frozen during the procedure, which could have cleared him to continue playing in events such as the US Open.
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) suspended Troicki last month for breaking anti-doping rules.
Troicki blamed an on-site doping control officer, who he claims gave him misleading advice.
An ITF tribunal declined to apply the standard two-year ban after accepting Troicki was stressed by illness and his fear of needles.
