Eighth seed Bikramjeet Singh stopped tenth seed Krish Patel from winning a double by defeating him 6-4, 6-3 in the men’s singles final at the TVS-ITF junior tennis tournament on Saturday. Krish Patel had won the doubles title on Friday.

After winning their initial service game of the first set, both Bikramjeet and Krish failed to hold on to their serve. After breaking Krish in the ninth game, Bikramjeet finally held onto his serve to win the first set 6-4.

Bikramjeet broke Krish in the second game of the second set to take a 3-0 lead. Krish fought to back to make it 3-3. Bikramjit though had the last laugh by winning the next three games, to take the second set 6-3.

In the girls’ singles final, second seed Fangran Tian from China beat Deepshika Sriram in a one side encounter 6-2, 6-3.

The results: Final: Singles: Boys: Bikramjeet Singh bt Krish Patel 6-4, 6-3.

Girls: Fangran Tian (Chn) bt Deepshika Sriram 6-2, 6-3.
