Siddhant Banthia has pulled out of the Rendezvous Roland Garros junior wild-card event to be staged in Paris.

The 16-year-old who is ranked 79 was injured during the third ITF junior tournament that he was competing in Casablanca last week.

The 350th-ranked Abhimanyu Vannem Reddy, who had finished runner-up in the Rendezvous Roland Garros, India, will replace Bhanthia.

Banthia will still be supported as part the AITA’s contingent — Mahak Jain and Mihika Yadav are the other two — to travel to the UK for a grade-1 tournament followed by the Wimbledon junior tournament.

Zeel Desai, the girls’ World No. 19, was also offered a chance to be part of the team, but she has reportedly opted to follow her own plans and travel with her coach.
