The adidas-Triangle Tennis Trust National junior (under-14) clay court tennis championship gets underway at the YMCA College of Physical Education on Monday.
The championships will feature boys’ and girls’ singles & doubles. The singles events will have 64 players each while the doubles tournament will consist of 16 teams.
The boys’ matches will be played on Monday while the girls’ event will begin the next day.
Karnataka’s B.R. Nikshep, the top seed in the boys’ event, will play Arjun Patnaik of Andhra Pradesh on the opening day.
The second seed, Udayan Bhakar of Rajasthan, will also be seen in action against wildcard Vikram Dhanjay, while the boys’ doubles competition will begin later in the day.
