Sushil Kumar to run in Salwan Marathon

Commonwealth gold medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar and his mentor Satpal Singh will run in the annual Salwan marathon which will see the participation of 1300 visually impaired children on Sunday.

The 3-km run at the Salwan Marathon will see Sushil and Satpal assist a visually impaired child till the finishing line at the Delhi Cantonment on Children’s day.

There will seven different races under the U-14, U-16 and U-18 categories and will have 45,000 young runners taking part in the 16th edition of the event.

The winner in all categories will take home Rs. 10,000 with first and second runners-up getting Rs. 5000 and Rs. 2000 plus gift hampers. Besides, there are 100 consolation prizes in each category.
