The annual SSN Trophy sports festival organised by SSN College of Engineering begins today at the college campus.
The events, which include badminton, basketball, chess, table tennis, and tennis for men and women collegians, conclude on August 24.
Several top institutions from outside the state such as St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur, MLSU Udaipur, SBM Jain, Presidency College, Surana from Bangalore, St. Francis, VNRVjiet, CBIT, KL University from Andhra, Kerala Varma College, Krishna Menon College from Kerala are expected to be in the fray.
Prize money
Leading colleges in the city, St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, Sathyabhama University are also in the fray. The prize money is around Rs.2, 00, 000.
The competitions will be inaugurated on Tuesday by the Olympian and tennis star, Rushmi Chakravarthi, in the presence of Ms. Kala Vijaykumar, President, SSN Institutions. — Special Correspondent
