Snehadevi Reddy overwhelmed top seed Ching-Wen Hsu of Chinese Taipei 6-0, 6-0 in the quarterfinals of the $10,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament here on Thursday.

It was the first victory for the former Asian junior champion, as the 764th ranked Snehadevi had lost to the 384th ranked Taipei girl in all their three previous meetings, including the one last week in the quarterfinals in Nashik.

Hsu, who had won the singles title last week, partnered Sharrmadaa Baluu to make the doubles final later in the day, at the expense of Arantxa Andrady and Sharon Sanchana Paul.

Sri Vaishnavi Peddi Reddy who was very close to winning the title last week continued to assert her big game as she outplayed second seed Dhruthi Venugopal for the loss of two games.
