The Mumbai racing season 2013-14 marked the Royal Western India Turf Club’s (RWITC) 130th anniversary as racing moved to Mahalakshmi in 1883. To commemorate this occasion RWITC and the house of Tata, will host the Tata Housing Mahalakshmi 130 years Anniversary Turf Championship race day on Sunday (March 30).

Also to make it memorable, especially for punters, the RWITC will give a record addition of Rs. 75 lakhs to the day’s Super Jackpot Pool and also Rs. 18 lakhs to the combined Jackpot Pool.

The Club has also commissioned India’s ace lensman, Raghu Rai to shoot exclusively for RWITC and the British artist, Jeremy Houghton, to present a range of watercolours of equestrian art for this event, both of which will be on display on Sunday.
