Mr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy’s Rekindle ridden by C.S.Jodha won the Tattersalls Million, the main event of the races held here on Saturday (Sept. 21). The winner is trained by Karthik G.
The races were delayed by an hour after the running of the fifth race as trouble started at the race course. The reason — defeat of the first favourite horse Midnight Wind (S.Zervan up) trained by H.J.Antia and the 20 to1 winner, Rocking who also hails from Antia’s yard. The officials of RWITC made an announcement through the Senior Police Inspector to the punters to cooperate and let the remaining races go through. A detailed enquiry has been ordered into the running of the fifth race.
Thereafter the remaining races of the day went through peacefully.
