The upper division of the Mr Greedy Plate was declared null and void by the Stewards. Actually Arch Duchess won the feature event on Saturday. An objection was raised by trainer Zadmal Singh and there was a stewards enquiry. The reason was that the gate of Providence (Trevor up) opened only half at the start due to which the filly was slowly out and did not get a fair chance to prove herself. The stewards interviewed the Starter and were convinced that there was a technical fault due to which the gates did not open fully. They referred to the rule book and as per rule 31-A they decided to declare the race null and void.
