Volleyball special camp at Bangalore

The Volleyball Federation of India has announced a list of 19 junior players who will attend a special camp in Bangalore from July 4 and also proceed to Tunisia for training cum competitions from July 11 to 16.

The players were picked based on their performance in training camps in SAI Bangalore and also in the recently held IVL.

From this group, the Indian team to take part in the FIVB World men's junior championship in Brazil from August 1 to 10 will be finalised after trials, according to K. Murugan, VFI Secretary-General.

Following is the list of players: R. Vaishnav (blocker), Anup D. Costa (Universal), J. Tennarasan, Ranjit Singh (both setters), T.D. Ravikumar, John Christopher, A. Vikram (all attackers), B. Imtiyaz Ahmed (libero), D. Soundar, Lavmeet Katariya, P. Rohith, Navjit Singh (all blockers), Surender Kumar (libero), D. Selva Prabhu (Universal), Dilip Khoiwal (attacker), V.R. Sanoj (Universal), S. Kanakaraj (libero), Omvir Mann (attacker), Vishal Bansal (setter). Officials: M.H. Kumara (Head Coach), A. Venkatesan (Assistant Coach) and Narayan Alva (Trainer)
