R. Umadevi Nagaraj defeated Karnataka Statemate M. Chitra 76-51, 77-23, 31-76, 76-65 in the final to emerge as the senior National women’s billiards champion, at KSBA here on Monday.
This is Umadevi’s sixth senior National billiards title. Umadevi, 52, battled fatigue to get the job done. “I was not able to play my game in the third frame. I was too tired, possibly because of my age. I was also nervous, which led me to miss many easy shots,” Umadevi said.
