R. Umadevi claimed her maiden World Ladies Billiards & Snooker Association title, beating World No. 13 Eva Palmius 2-0 in the seniors' final at the Cambridge Snooker Centre, England.

A double eluded Umadevi as she lost 3-0 in the Plate final to Tina Owen-Sevilton.

The results: Seniors women: Final: R. Umadevi bt Eva Palmius 2-0; Semifinals: Palmius bt Martina Lumsden 2-1, Umadevi bt Poulter 2-0. Quarterfinals: Palmius bt Maureen Rowland 2-0, Umadevi bt Jan Hughes 2-1, Poulter bt Chris Sharpe 2-1.

Plate final: Tina Owen-Sevilton bt Umadevi 3-0; Semifinals: Owen-Sevilton w/o Naomi Clare, Umadevi bt Hughes 2-0. Quarterfinals: Owen-Sevilton bt Martina Lumsden 2-0, Hughes bt Maureen Rowland 2-0, Umadevi bt Marianne Williams 2-0.
