The Olympic Council of Asia said a Qatari silver medallist and a Palestinian runner who competed in the 2010 Asian Games have failed drug tests.

Ahmed Dheeb, who won silver in the men’s discus, tested positive for banned anabolic agent exogenous testosterone metabolites and will be stripped of his medal. The 800-metre runner Awajna Abdalnasser tested positive for norandrosterone, another anabolic agent.

This brings to four the number of athletes who failed drug tests during the Asian Games last November in Guangzhou, China. Two Uzbeks tested positive for the stimulant methylhexaneamine - Jakhongir Muminov, a wrestler, and Shokir Muminov, who was stripped of his judo silver medal.
