TTFI General Secretary Chauhan passes away

Secretary General of Table Tennis Federation of India, Moolchand Chauhan passed away at 00:30 hrs in Jaipur on Friday.

Mr. Chauhan, 83, is survived by his three daughters. The TTFI official who was suffering from cancer, breathed his last at SK Soni Hospital, Jaipur.

Mr. Chauhan will be cremated at his home town Ajmer later on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Games camp for table tennis, which is going on at Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune was called off for a day today to commemorate Mr. Chauhan’s death.

“This is a bad news for Indian table tennis. Mr. Chauhan contributed 40 years of his life to the sport and hence India covered a long distance,” Bhawani Mukherjee, SAI chief coach for table tennis, told PTI from Pune.
