It may not have the resonance of the Tour de France, but it is an event that has garnered wide attention from cycling enthusiasts from across the country.
The annual ‘Tour of Nilgiris' is back with its fourth edition and will feature 70 riders, covering a distance of 860 kms across Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu and reaching high-altitude terrain at a maximum of 2240 metres.
Commencing at Bangalore from December 16, the cyclists will ride through Mysore, Hassan, Madikere, Kannur, Sultan Bathery and Ooty and finish at Kodanad View Point on December 23. BSA Cycles will sponsor the event.
