Double Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar has confirmed his participation in the National wrestling championship scheduled to take place in Indore from November 15 to 18.

A trial was scheduled between Sushil and National junior champion Dinesh to ascertain who would represent one of the two Railways teams in 74kg freestyle category. Dinesh gave a walkover and this allowed Sushil to get selected for the Nationals.

Asian championship bronze medallist Parveen Rana will represent the other Railways team in the same weight class.

“I am in good shape. Fans will see a re-energised Sushil Kumar in the Nationals and later in the PWL,” said Sushil, who will return to action after his last notable competitive exposure in the 2014 Glasgow CWG.
