Snooker: Easy for fancied players at Indian Open wild-card entry

Fancied players registered convincing wins in the first round of the league stage of the Indian Open wild-card entry tournament at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana here on Monday.

Railways’ Kamal Chawla, one of the top guns in the snooker circuit, got off to a flying start, thrashing Maharashtra’s Hasan Badami 4-0 in a contest set to seven frames. 

Easy for Rajat

Rajat Khaneja was the other player to record a 4-0 victory, the result coming against West Bengal’s Manish Jain.
