Shuttlers get their visas

There was relief for the players, including women’s doubles shuttler N. Sikki Reddy and the women’s coach Pradnya Gadre, with the clearing of their visas for their trip to Glasgow, Scotland, for the World badminton championship.

There had been doubts until Tuesday about whether the 10 players would indeed get their vi sas.

A senior official of the Gopi Chand Academy who handles players’ travel arrangements informed The Hindu that the passports and the visa clearance forms had been secured, and the players will now be able to travel.
