Second straight loss for Saina

Saina Nehwal was on the brink of elimination after suffering her second straight loss in Group ‘B’ in the Super Series Finals here on Thursday.

The fourth-seeded Indian, who lost to Denmark’s Tine Baun in her first match, was beaten by Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon 13-21, 16-21 in just 34 minutes.

Saina meets Germany’s Juliane Schenk in her final group game on Friday. The German overcame Baun 14-21, 21-16, 21-8.
