Indian doubles pair of Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas notched up their second title of the year, clinching the Bitburger Open by beating English duo of Chris Adcock and Andrew Ellis in Germany.

The top-seeded Indian combo prevailed over their seventh seeded opponent 17-21, 22-20, 24-22 in a see-saw battle, which lasted for one hour and seven minutes.

World number 19 pair of Rupesh and Thomas won the New Zealand open Grand Prix in July and finished as runner-up in the Australian Open Grand Prix in the same month.
