Raninder re-elected

Raninder Singh was unanimously re-elected as President of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) on Saturday. He had taken up the post in December 2010.

The former secretary general, Baljit Singh Sethi, will continue as the advisor. At the AGM, the governing body of NRAI also nominated Randhir Singh and Dr. B. S. Adityan as Life Presidents, while former National coach Prof. Sunny Thomas was nominated as Life Vice President.

Naveen Jindal MP was announced as the Patron in Chief, and Jagjit Singh patron. Col. Jaswant Singh was declared Chairman Emeritus and T.S. Dhillon, Vice Chairman Emeritus.

The athletes committee was also formed with Moraad Ali Khan as the head. Samaresh Jung, Anjali Bhagwat, Suma Shirur, Vikram Bhatnagar and Ashok Mittal were the other members of the committee.

The office-bearers: President: Raninder Singh; Senior Vice President: Avtar Singh Sethi; Secretary General: D.V.S. Rao; Treasurer: Sanjeev Bahl; Joint Secretaries: Darius Chenai, Jagmeet Singh Sethi.
