Punjab powers into final

Punjab asserted its dominance over Indian Overseas Bank for the second time in the tournament, winning their last semifinal league match 67-53, to book a place against ONGC in the final of the seventh all-India Savio Cup-Don Bosco basketball tournament here on Sunday.

Southern Railway will face South East Central Railway in the women's final.

The results (semifinal league):

Punjab 67 (Amjot Singh 18, Jagdeep Singh 16, Amritpal Singh Jr 14, Talvinder Singh 12) bt IOB 53 (Prasanna 13, Vineet Mathew 10).

Shooting For Success (USA) 89 (Jeff Fahnbulleh 30, Terry Fields 20, Jeremy White 12) bt ONGC 52 (Vishesh Bhruguwanshi 20, Yadwinder Singh 12).
