U Mumba grabbed three vital defensive points in the last few minutes to down a determined Puneri Paltan 34-31 in a key home match of the STAR Sports ProKabaddi season 5 at the NSCI Dome here on Wednesday.

It was U Mumba’s sixth win in 10 matches, a brilliant effort that took it to the fourth position.

Anup Kumar once again played a stellar role in sustaining the home team’s momentum scoring nine raid points.

Scoring its first out points (three) helped U Mumba take a two-point lead at half time.

Ajay Thakur did the star turn for Paltan and Deepak Hooda too made an impact with raid points, but where the visitor impressed was in defence with a series of ankle holds to keep the gap to two points.

But in the end U Mumba scored its second all out points to clinch the match.
