Prem Prakash advances

Tamil Nadu's Prem Prakash entered the knockout phase of the inaugural 6 Red Snooker National championship. Ideally suited for this format Prem Prakash scored two emphatic victories on Friday over Rishab Pandya (4-1) and Kamal Rohemetra (4-0).

Chitra Magimairaj gave local fans something to cheer about while scoring a 3-2 victory over Meenal Thakur to top Group A in the women's league and enter the last eight stage.
