Olympic silver medallist Vijay Kumar, with a score of 564, finished 18th in a field of 23 in the 25-metre rapid fire pistol event, as the shooting World Cup concluded in Changwon (Korea) on Monday.
The challenging 4-second series, in which a shooter has to fire at five targets within four seconds, continued to trouble Vijay as he shot 90 out of 100. He had shot 89 in the same section the previous day.
He had 98 each in the 8-second and 6-second series in the second stage. The other two Indians in the fray, Pemba Tamang and Harpreet Singh, fared better.
Tamang shot 289 in the second stage, nine points more than what he achieved in the first stage. With a total of 569, Tamang missed the final by eight points.
Harpreet Singh shot 566, and improved it by six points in the second stage.
