PGTI Players: Vikrant and Kapil call the shots

Noida’s Vikrant Chopra and Delhi’s Kapil Kumar made the best use of the course condition to emerge joint leaders on the opening day of the PGTI Players Championship on Wednesday.

The duo scored seven-under-65 and with it smashed the single round course record of six-under-66 jointly held by Abhinav Lohan and Shamim Khan. Gurgaon’s Shubhankar Sharma, who is lying third, impressed as well with a five-under-67.

The scores: Kapil Kumar & Vikrant Chopra 65; Shubhankar Sharma 67; Abhinav Lohan, Sujjan Singh, Sudhir Sharma, Om Prakash Chouhan & Naman Dawar 68; Rashid khan, Rudresh Sharma, Mukesh Sharma, Arjun Singh Chaudhri & Raju Ali Mollah 69.
