‘Not concerned about India’

May 17, 2014 01:44 am | Updated November 16, 2021 06:54 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Notwithstanding the consistency of Saina Nehwal and P.V. Sindhu, China's coach Li Yongbo has declared “we are not too concerned about India.”

Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, the doubles specialist who won the 1992 Olympic bronze, said India would take some time before they can come on par with China.

Assessing China's chances of retaining the Thomas and Uber Cup here, the 52-year-old said, “no doubt, we are a strong side. But we are not taking anyone lightly. Overall, the competition has gone up but we are confident of winning.”
