Noroozi claims wrestling gold for Iran

World champion Omid Noroozi won Olympic gold for Iran in the men’s 60 kilogramme Greco-Roman wrestling competition at the ExCel centre on Monday to give his country its second wrestling gold of London 2012.

Noroozi defeated Revaz Lashki of Georgia 2-0 in the gold medal match. The bronze medals went to Zaur Kuramagomedov of Russia and Japan’s Ryutaro Matsumoto.
