Nivedha, Prashi sent packing

Nivedha Srinivasan (seeded No.7) of Pondicherry, Prashi Joshi of AP (8) and Vaidehi Choudhari of Maharashtra (11) were ousted by Rashi Lamba, Deepti Ramesh, both of Maharashtra, and Preethi K. of AP respectively in the girls’ under-15 section of the all-India sub-junior ranking badminton tournament at the Sidhu Kanu Indoor Stadium in Durgapur on Friday.

National coach P. Gopi Chand’s daughter, Gayatri, too went out in the second round of the girls’ U-13 section losing to fourth-seeded Simran Singh of Maharashtra after a tough three-set contest.
