Venky's Mumbai Fighters (VMF) has signed up two foreign boxers as World Series Boxing (WSB) 2011-12 enters the second phase.

Ukraine's Sergii Melnik (light heavyweight) and Moldovian Mihail Muntean (heavyweight) join the Indian franchise, placed fifth in Group A with seven points.

Heavyweight Muntean fought for Pohang Poseidons last season and holds a 3-3 WSB record. VMF's next match, an away tie against Milano Thunder on January 13, will be his first fight.

Light heavyweight Melnik, 24, is No. 2 in Ukraine, and represents the Ukrainian army.

VMF has to earn eight points more from the remaining matches in the group phase, home ties against Dynamo Moscow, Bangkok Elephants and away tie against Milano Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers and Astana Arlans.
