Marcus Ericsson joins F1 team Caterham

Marcus Ericsson has joined Formula One team Caterham for the 2014 season, the first Swedish driver to race in the elite division for two decades.

“It is terrific that we managed to set it up,” Ericsson said in a statement on Tuesday to broadcaster Viasat Motor .

“It is about time. It’s a long time since a Swede raced in Formula One and now it’s done, it’s incredible that I’ll be next,” he added.

Caterham’s other driver this season will be Kamui Kobayashi of Japan.
