Fourth seed Manika Batra upstaged top seed and World youth No. 4 Kasumi Ishikawa 8-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-9, 14-12, 13-11 to enter the final of the Chile Open Youth (under-21) girls final at Santiago de Chile on Saturday.
Meanwhile in the boys' (under-21) section, top seed Soumyajit Ghosh and second seed Harmeet Desai made the final as expected. In the semifinals, Ghosh defeated Canada's Andre Ho 11-7, 11-9, 11-8, 11-7 and Desai got past Chile's Manuel Moya 11-9, 11-6, 11-7, 11-5.
