Loyola and MOP Vaishnav from Chennai wrested the men’s and women’s basketball titles respectively on the final day of the 21st South India inter-collegiate Karunya Evangeline Memorial Tournament (KEMT) at the Karunya University courts here on Saturday.

Loyola brushed aside the challenge of Mar Baselios College (Thiruvananthapuram) 77-67 in its last league clash for the men’s title, while MOP Vaishnav got the better of SRM University (Chennai) 52-36 for the women’s crown.

M. Sudhakar, Superintendent of Police (Coimbatore Rural) gave away the prizes.
