Chen Long bags men's Badminton gold

Lee Chong Wei is defeated in straight games, Viktor Axelsen wins badminton Bronze, Aditi Ashok falls behind in women's golf, Usain Bolt seals the triple triple in track events.

Welcome to live updates of Day 15 at the Summer Olympics, 2016. Just two more days before the Rio tableau winds up. Few Indian athletes are in still contention, but after the exploits of PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik, perhaps India has something to cheer already.

2230 hrs: India's Aditi Ashok went on in final round 76 to finish 7 over par, tied for 40th in the Women's Golf Tournament.

1941 hrs: Chong Wei made a fist of this, getting two points in, but Chen Long is the Badminton men's singles Gold medallist 2~0 (21-18 21-18) . Takes his shirt off and bestows it upon the cheering gallery, and threatens to depants himself before thinking better of it.

1937 hrs: Chen with 4 Gold medal points at 20-16. Not a major upset, really. It's been a clash between two Goliaths.

1929 hrs: Chen Long seems to have an answer to everything that Chong Wei is posing. The Chinese player is leading 16-14.

1923 hrs: Chen Long is leading the second game 11-10 at the halfway mark.

1859 hrs:And Chen Long takes the first game 21-18.

1859 hrs: It's a dynamic game befitting a clash between the top-2 badminton players in the world. Chen Long is now taking the edge at 20-18.

1839 hrs: Chong Wei has taken the lead at first mid-game timeout, at 11-7.

1826 hrs: And the big game is on in Men's Badminton as the final between Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei (world ranking: 1) and China's Chen Long (world ranking: 2) gets underway.

1819 hrs: Great Britain's Liam Heath won the men's single kayak 200m Olympic gold on Saturday at Rio's Lagoa Stadium. Heath clocked 35.197sec, with France's Maxime Beaumont second in 35.362sec, Germany's Ronald Rauhe and Spain's Saul Craviotto shared bronze in 35.662.

1815 hrs:Denmark's Viktor Axelsen has secured the Bronze in Badminton men's singles after defeating China's Lin Dan , the man who took down Kidambi Srikanth earlier. Axelsen is overjoyed to the point of tears as he takes the match 2~1 (15-21 21-10 21-17).

1800 hrs:Aditi Ashok may have slumped since her initial burst of excellence over the first two rounds of the Women's golf event. But Indians are still cheering for her. Including but not limited to the celebrities.

1750 hrs: Aditi Ashok did not have a great day yesterday, shooting a dismal 8-over 79 on Friday to fall to 31st place, 13 strokes behind the leader, +2 overall.
