The wife of critically injured Formula One legend Michael Schumacher on Tuesday urged the public and the media to let doctors do their work and to leave her family alone.
“Please support us in our joint fight with Michael. It is important for me that you relieve the doctors and the hospital so that they can work in peace. Please trust their statements and leave the clinic.
Please also leave our family alone,” Corinna Schumacher said in a statement issued through her husband’s manager Sabine Kehm.
Schumacher has been in a Grenoble-based hospital in the French Alps since December 29, when he suffered severe head injuries in a skiing accident in Meribel.
