Chennai’s Vishnu Prasad finished on top in both the races of the JK Racing India Series (FB02) in the second leg of the 16th JK Tyre racing championship at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam here on Sunday.
After having ruled the track on Saturday, Vishnu carried on his good work to the final day. He capitalised on the great start in the FBO2 race and nicely distanced himself from the rest of the pack.
Akhil Rabindra and Arjun Maini from Bangalore pushed hard as well. It was a good fight in the middle but Maini threw in the towel midway through. And, Chittesh Mandody, the young gun from Kohlapur, cashed in on the chance and moved in quickly. From there, he gave Akhil a run for his money.
But for Vishnu, it did not really matter. He maintained a clean line to emerge a clear winner while both Akhil and Chittesh held on to their positions to finish in that order.
A tired-looking Vishnu gained a slight edge yet again in the second race of the day for the FB02 cars. This time around, Maini put the pressure on him with some strong lap timings. But Vishnu held his ground to complete a grand double.

Coimbatore’s Sarosh Hataria of Dark Don Racing battled hard right through before winning the third race of the Formula LGB4 category.
Prashant Tharani and Jeffery Kruger (South Africa) wrested the top slots in the race for the Polo R Cup cars.
