Andy Schleck will miss the Tour de France and the London Olympics with a fractured pelvis, local news reports said on Wednesday.

The Luxembourg rider Schleck, declared 2010 Tour winner recently after original winner Alberto Contador was disqualified for doping, sustained the injury in a crash during last week’s Criterium du Dauphine race.

The Luxemburger Tageblatt paper said he will be sidelined “for at least six weeks.” Schleck’s team RadioShack-Nissan has set a news conference for later Wednesday.

Schleck has been criticised for lack of form by team leader Johan Bruyneel but would have still been rated a top contender at next month’s Tour and the London Olympics races in July/August.
