A 12-member team, led by National champions Soumyajit Ghosh (men’s section) and K. Shamini (women’s section), will represent India in the IITF world tour Kuwait Open, which got underway in Kuwait City on Thursday.
The same team will participate in the Qatar Open at Doha from February 20 to 24.
Both events will be crucial for Indian paddlers as they form the National squad’s core for the Commonwealth Championships at New Delhi in May. Achanta Sharath Kamal’s career graph would get a boost if he wins one of the above events.

Women : K. Shamini, Mousumi Paul, Ankita Das, Madhurika Patkar, Neha Agarwal, Pooja Sahasrabudhe.
Coaches : Arup Basak and Bhawani Mukherjee.
