Indian cueists advance to Group II of world billiards meet

Indian cueists led by Geet Sethi, Devendra Joshi, Pankaj Advani and Alok kumar among others, today advanced to Group Stage II of World Billiards Championship, being played here.

The others to advance in the October 24-30 event included B Bhaskar, Rupesh Shah, Sourav Kothari, and Dhruv Sitwala.

After the end of Stage I, Sethi grabbed Seed 1 followed by Shah and Advani as Seed 2 and Seed 3.

In Stage II, Geet, Advani and Shah started with wins in their first matches.

Stage II is a group stage again with four groups of four players in each, with playing format 750 up (single game).
