Indian archery team for Asian meet

The Archery Association of India (AAI) has named a 16-member Indian team to participate in the Asian Championship to be held at Tehran from October 24.

After a four-day trials held at SAI Eastern Centre two Olympians, Dola Banerjee and V. Pranitha in women's recurvehave failed to make the team.

The teams: Recurve: Men: Jayanta Telukdar (SPSB), Tarundeep Rai (Ser), Atanu Das (SPSB),

Rahul Banerjee (IR). Women: Dipika Kumari (SPSB), L. Bombyala Devi (IR), ChekrovoluSwuro (Nag), Rimil Buriuly (IR).

Compound: Men: Ch. Jignas (Ser), Ritul Chatterjee (AP), Chinglen Sana (Ser), Kh. Ratan Singh (Ser). Women: Namita Yadav (IR), Jhano Hansdah (Jhr), Manjudha Soy (IR), V. Jyothi Surekha (AP).
