A tricky draw awaits top shuttler Saina Nehwal, who will open her campaign against Asian Games bronze medallist Yip Pui Yin of Hong Kong in the India Open World Super Series, starting here on April 24.

The event will be the final qualifying event for the London Olympics.

World No. 5 Saina, seeded third here, has defeated Yin thrice in a row since her loss to the Hong Kong player in the 2010 Asian Games quarterfinals.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Saina, drawn in the same half as top seed Shixian Wang of China, may face two-time All England champion Tine Baun of Denmark in the quarterfinals.

If the Indian goes past Shixian, then she may meet another Chinese rival.

Tough assignment

Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa, the Commonwealth Games women's doubles winners, will launch their campaign against seventh-seeded Poon Lok Yan and Tse Ying Suet of Hong Kong.

Jwala and Diju will take on the Chinese combination of Jiaming Tao and Huan Xia in the first round.

In men's singles, Ajay Jayaram and P. Kashyap will challenge 20th-ranked Englishman Rajiv Ouseph, while Kashyap meets Pablo Abian of Spain.
